A raised access floor (RAF) is a modular floor system built from 600×600mm panels supported on adjustable steel pedestals, creating an underfloor void — typically 100mm to 600mm deep — for cabling, HVAC air distribution and building services. Above the RAF, the finished floor covering (carpet tile, LVT, laminate HPL or a bare panel) is laid to complete the space.
